At it's first planning session, the Board decided to focus its efforts on these four pillars that are essential for a thriving UUCG community.

Communications

• Website -- use the new website as the conduit for all UUCG communications and information
• Reporting  -- board promotes transparency with the congregation
• In-house  --  foster collaboration among committees and affinity groups

Congregational Life

• Spiritual Life  --  support the spiritual journeys of the membership
• Member Engagement -- support a wide range of activities through which members are involved
• Non-Violent Communication  -- promote healthy communications through Leadership Covenant and more
• Community Outreach  --  support efforts for UUCG to be present with our larger community

Operations

• By-Laws  -- update and revise as necessary
• Staff  --  determine appropriate staffing within our means
• Job Descriptions  -- clarify expectations
• Standard Operating Procedures & Policies -- review and update existing policies and create new where necessary
• Clear Policies  -- ensure all policies are clear and understandable
• Search Committee  --  ensure a Search Committee is selected and in place

Financial Strength

• Restructure existing debt  --  refinance existing debt to prevailing interest rates
• Financial Abundance  -- prepare for a future of possibilities with sound planning
