The Membership Committee recently completed the important work of conducting our annual census. We are 115 adult members (70 are women and 45 are men). We have 75 youth enrolled in the Religious Education program.
Half of the congregation joined UUCG AFTER January 1, 2004, making the median membership tenure 6 years. The average membership tenure is 8.6 years.
Each January, all UU congregations must report its membership count to UUA. It is important to the denomination at large and our census results determine the dues UUCG pays to UUA and the Mid-South District.
I found the following facts about UUCG very interesting:
Adult Members: 115 (70 are women and 45 are men)
Couples: 38
1/2 Couples: 24 (a "half couple" is when one spouse is a member and the other is not)
Singles: 15
Pledging Units: 67 (a pledge unit is generally one per household; some pledge units may not be members)
