This week's program features "People in Poetry" with Charles Fox. The program includes a collaborative reading of poems about people and characters we know. Then, participants will have an opportunity to write their own poetic profiles.

Programs are free and begin at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary. All are welcome.

An optional and family friendly dinner begins at 6:00 PM.  Reserve your dinner by calling the UUCG office or register online.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Charles Fox’s poetry career started when, in January, 1990, he was one of 20 young American poets invited to do a reading tour of the Soviet Union. Afterwards, 14 poems were translated into Russian and published in the anthology Manhattan on the Neva: American Poets of Perestroika Time. He continued his writing in the MFA Creative Writing/Poetry program at George Mason University, where he worked with C.K. Williams and Carolyn Forche. He has written and acted works produced by Poetry Theatre, and my poetry and short stories have appeared in more than 30 journals and magazines, including RHINO, Kiosk, Phoebe, and The Chattahoochee Review.
