Meet Rev. Roy Reynolds Our New Interim Minister
Reverend Roy Reynolds starts as UUCG's part-time Interim Minister on August 15, 2008. We're very pleased he will be serving our congregation!
Rev. Reynolds is in his nineteenth year as a UU minister and is currently completing a two-year interim position with the UU Church of Augusta, Georgia.
In addition to his present position in Augusta he has served Northwest Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Atlanta, as their Settled Minister (1992-2000), UU Congregation of Marietta as Consulting Minister, and three congregations in Mississippi and Alabama as Consulting Minister.
A second career minister, Rev. Reynolds was previously an urban planner and adjunct professor in Oklahoma. He left full-time parish ministry in 2000 to simplify his lifestyle and pursue a persistent vocational urge to help UU congregations move toward wholeness and authentic community. That work is ongoing through his consulting and interim ministry.
Reverend Reynolds’ ministries have also included volunteer leadership in the Southeast UU Ministers Association, the UU Musicians Network, the UU Process Theology Network, and the Mid-South District Board and Long Range Planning Committee. He is now serving on the continental UUMA professional leadership development committee.
