All On-site Gatherings Suspended Again

The Unitarian Universalist Association released new COVID safety guidelines yesterday. Following these guidelines would require UUCG to discontinue in-person meetings, including worship, as Gwinnett County currently has a transmission rating of “Very High,” according to covidactnow.org

Your Board of Trustees met Saturday morning to discuss whether or not the congregation should cease to meet in person. While we are not required to follow recommendations of the UUA, the Board decided that doing so is in the best interest of congregational safety. As of August 21, there will be no in-person worship or small group gatherings at UUCG until further notice from the Board. Zoom gatherings will continue.

If you would like to read the guidelines for yourself, you can find them here: https://www.uua.org/pressroom/press-releases/guidance-delta-variant

Thank you for your understanding as we strive to live out our values of inclusion and collective care.
