The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Gwinnett has established a Green Team in order to help our congregation live more fully into our shared UU commitment to affirm and promote “respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.”
We enter this work joyfully and with hope as we seek to model an ethic of care for our shared planet and all its inhabitants. In a shared spirit of trust, compassion, and inquiry, our goal is to live, as much as possible, in accord with the natural world. We seek to educate people and thus to increase the number of people who are making more effort to improve the quality of the air, water, soil and health of all living things on our planet. To accomplish this shared mission we will engage our congregation in worship, religious education, and social justice.
The membership of our Green Team represents a cross-section of the congregation with members representing Worship, Building & Grounds, Religious Exploration, Social Justice, and Leadership Development.
