On the first and third Sunday mornings at 10:00am, we offer mentor-guided, Youth-led Religious Exploration discussions for teens, focused on how and why they choose to live their Unitarian Universalist values out in the world.
In addition, we offer the following programs for Teens:
The Youth Group is open to teens age 12 – 17. They engage in activities, service projects, and special events of their own choosing, with the guidance of their adult advisor team. The Youth Group meets twice a month in the Treehouse room.
Discussion meetings take place on the First and Third Sunday of each month during the 10:00 hour, before the Worship Service.
Planning meetings are held on third Sundays, during potluck lunch after the Worship Service at 12:30pm.
Stay tuned in by visiting their web page and checking the Youth Bulletin Board regularly. Dates and times of events and meetings are posted there, as well as flyers and permission forms for upcoming events (in the clear pockets).
For more information contact any of our Adult Advisors.
Our Whole Lives – OWL provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relationships, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality, to help participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior.
OWL will be held next during the 2017 – 2018 program year. If you are interested in learning more and attending a parent orientation this fall, please contact Christiana McQuain at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Coming of Age Program – An opportunity for teens learn more about Unitarian Universalism and articulate their own beliefs. As youth prepare to leave childhood and move into the transition towards young adulthood, this program provides a supportive space for them to explore their values and identity, as well as theology, spirituality, and history; through the arts, discussion, and experiential learning. This program rotates with Our Whole Lives.
