During the month of February we are exploring the theme of Resilience

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated.  In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.

Faith Development at 10:00am

Topical Discussion: Coming Out in Faith
Join us for a discussion of the topics explored in the book Coming Out in Faith: Voices of LGBTQ Unitarian Universalists.
We will talk about Unitarian Universalism’s active role in promoting a vision of humanity that not only embraces LGBTQ+ people, but actively seeks to learn from the unique strengths they bring to questions of personal faith and organizational vitality.

Facilitated by Dan Kelly

Adult: Explorations

Dreamwork

“‘Working with dreams’ means remembering and exploring the dreams from sleep with an eye to their deeper meanings. Each one of us is uniquely blind to the deeper meanings of our own dreams, and dream work helps us see what amazing gifts are there, just below the surface of ‘manifest content’ and obvious appearance.”  – Jeremy Taylor, D.Min

Rev. Dr. Jeremy Taylor was a Unitarian Universalist minister, who saw dream work as an essential tool for addressing the social and environmental calamities of the world, and for changing the world for the better.  Join us on the Fourth Sunday of each month for an exploration of dream work, sharing our dreams, using Jeremy Taylor’s book Dream Work as a guide.

The Alchemy of Adversity

We run from adversity at all costs, and yet its lessons are the very thing that turn our lives from straw to gold. Living through life’s challenges makes us stronger, kinder, and more resilient the next time around.
