Belief Explorers is a group of curious people interested in the wide variety of spirituality and beliefs. We meet from 12:30 – 1:30PM on the 2nd Sunday of each month, both online via Zoom and in-person. Each month we explore a book, religion, person, or concept chosen at the previous meeting. Meetings are open to all UUCG members, friends, and visitors.
Belief Exploration will be meeting in the Library and online via Zoom.

This Month’s Topic: Values, Moral Foundations, and Non-Partisan Advocacy
As we approach election season and more hearings at the Public Service Commission, we will have more opportunities to declare our UU values and beliefs in a nonpartisan way. This can be challenging when passion and personalities get in the way. A nonpartisan climate advocacy organization, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, trains their members to build relationships and advocate effectively for legislation and accelerated change.
We will explore UU and Citizens’ Climate Lobby values and methods and introduce the concept of moral foundations. We will explore our own moral foundations as well as those of people with whom we disagree and see as barriers.
